Scott R. Woolley, Ph.D. is a Certified Emotionally Focused Therapist, Supervisor, and Trainer. He is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, AAMFT Clinical Member and AAMFT Approved Supervisor. He is also a Professor and the Systemwide Director of the Marital and Family Therapy Masters and Doctoral Programs in the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University. Lisa Palmer-Olsen, Psy.D. is a licensed marriage and family therapist in San Diego California. She is a Certified EFT Therapist and Supervisor and is a Founder and Director of the San Diego Center for Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. Lisa completed her dissertation research on how to teach and supervise EFT. Dr. Sue Johnson and Dr. Scott Woolley were part of her dissertation committee. Dr. Palmer-Olsen’s primary clinical and research interests are in the areas of couple and family therapy; specifically with those couples and families dealing with severe trauma and attachment disorders. She is an AAMFT clinical member and approved AAMFT supervisor. As a student of Alliant International University, Lisa had the opportunity to train under family therapy founders Dr. Jay Haley and Dr. James Framo. She earned the Bachelor degree of Psychology at Colorado State University, the Master and Doctoral Degrees in Marriage and Family Therapy at Alliant International University.
Rebecca Jorgensen, Ph.D. is a Certified Emotionally Focused Therapist, Supervisor and Trainer. She is a Founder and Director of the San Diego Center for Emotionally Focused Therapy. Rebecca moved to San Diego from Rexburg, Idaho where she was faculty at BYU-Idaho. Dr. Jorgensen has taught Psychology, Family Life Courses and Counselor Education for many years. She has specialized training in distance and online education. Dr. Jorgensen has trained therapists in Emotionally Focused Therapy throughout North America. She currently teaches in the MFT graduate programs at both San Diego State University and Alliant International. She is also lead investigator for research on EFT Couples Group Therapy with Sue Johnson, founder of EFT and Scott Woolley. Dr. Jorgensen earned the B.S. in Psychology, the M.S. in Clinical Child and Youth Work (a family therapy degree) from Western Oregon University and the Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Capella University. She is licensed in Idaho and Washington and teaches, consults and trains in CA while she is working on CA licensure.
Lisa Ruderman, M.A., MFT is a licensed Marriage Family Therapist. She is a registered Emotionally Focused Therapist and Supervisor, and a founder of the San Diego Center for Emotionally Focused Therapy. Ms. Ruderman was fortunate to train under both Dr. Scott Woolley and Dr. Susan Johnson. Ms Ruderman received her undergraduate degree from The University of California at Los Angeles and Santa Barbara. She graduated with Chi Sigma Iota honors from The University of San Diego with a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Ms Ruderman is a member of the American Psychotherapy Association and is a board certified Professional Counselor. She is an AAMFT clinical member, and is completing an AAMFT Approved Supervisor Certification. Ms. Ruderman has an active private practice at The Scripps Memorial Hospital campus in La Jolla, California. She has made numerous appearances on the local KUSI morning show, presenting segments on relationships. She is also an Adjunct Faculty Instructor at Alliant International University and supervises therapists in the community.
